tried deleting filtered data - but all data gets deleted

i have 2 issues. (new user to 2007)
1. When I have a filter on and try to delete rows all the rows are being
deleted even the ones not selected in the filter.

2. When I have a filter on and copy data it also copies the data into the
unfilterd areas.

Hi,
Is the first time I heard when deleting the filter rows you delete
everything and I'm using 2007 version, regarding to copy the filtered data do
this
Select filtered data, press CTRL G, special, visible cells only, then Copy
and paste
