I have a bar graph with 5 bars. Four of the data values are very small and
one is very large. Does anyone know how to put two slashes in the middle of
the large bar to indicate that it is off scale.

Thank you
MG

There's no built in way to get this effect. I have sometimes drawn the
different bar as a separate series on a secondary value axis. Not quite the
same, but you could use arrows to indicate which bars go with which axis.

An alternative would be to adopt Tushar Mehta's "Broken Y-Axis" technique,
putting the break above the highest of the first four and below the fifth
bar. (http://www.tushar-mehta.com) And no, Tushar didn't pay me to post
this link, although if I had a penny for each time I've mentioned it, I'd
probably have a dollar by now!
