I have been trying to formulate error bars for a graph.
Each point on the graph is made of 3 data points. I am
having trouble getting started. The help option odes not
seem to be very helpful. It states to click on tools then
data series, which does not seem to be an option for me. I
can not find such an option. Does anyone know how to do
this. If so please help.

1)Let the x-values be in A2:A11, the y-values in B2:B11, the high-values be
in C2+C11 and the low values in D2:D11
2) Make the chart using A2:B11 (or A1:B11 if row 1 has headings)
3) Right click the data series in the chart; select from popup menu "Format
Data Series"
4) Open the tab called y-error
5) Locate Custom area. In the + box type C2:C11 (or use the point and click
method)
6) In the - box enter D2:D11
All done
Come back if anything need explaining
