Shortening a Trendline

This may seem like a simple problem to some (in fact I hope the solution IS
simple).

I have a chart with several trendlines, each applying to a different data
set, none of which overlap. (Time in years is on the x-axis. For example,
the first data set runs from 1963-1975, the second from 1975-1981.) However,
I want the trendlines to be only the length of the applicable data set, not
the length of the entire chart, which is how they appear by default. Anyone
know the solution?

Try adjusting the forcast units ?? in the the Format--> Trendline-->
Options
