>From searching the forum, it appears that for some reason Excel doesn't
let you change the widths?!
Any creative solutions?
Thanks.

Is there anyway to lock the text boxes to individual pieces of a pie?
Any ideas on why Excel won't let you resize the chart / data labels?
They put the little sizing boxes on the text box just to tease you...
John
I think the text elements have been essentially unchanged for so long,
probably since Excel 5 or earlier, back when textboxes weren't so capable as
now. I don't recall exactly, but I believe the text elements in Excel 2007
charts still do not allow resizing.

Dissapointing you can't resize in 2007. Maybe there's some reason for
the limitation ... OR then again, maybe not.
Thanks for checking in to it. I guess manual text boxes are the way
to go...
