No arranca SQL SERVER AGENT

Tengo SQL Server 2000 con service pack 3 de sql server, instalado en un
windows XP, todo va bien pero resulta que cuando trato de iniciar SQL SERVER
AGENT me da el siguiente error :
"A error 1068 - (No se puede iniciar el servicio o grupo de dependencia)
occurred while performing this service operation on the SQLSERVERAGENT
service"

Y por supuesto no arranca el servicio SQL SERVER AGENT, alguien sabe porque
ocurre esto o como puedo solucionarlo?
