Trouble with Win 7 & ID of printers?

I have a customer who is having issues with their HP printers - one that
isn't being recognized any longer - it keeps stating to reinstall printer
drivers when they are installed and keeps stating that the printers are
"unspecified" - that's the short story of the issue.
The quick & long story: customer downloaded ZIP files from AOL account,
printed one PDF and the 2nd file won't print - PC stated that Print Spooler
needed to be restarted. Job (print job) still stuck in Print Que. Got the
spooler to start again, restarted PC - but now printer isn't being seen in
Windows 7? Although the driver has been downloaded and installed by HP -
even PC was rebooted after the install - and still the printer isn't being
seen by Win 7! For it now states: "No printer is installed"
Please advise?
