How to disable the Solution Center pop-up box

All of a sudden, the Solution Center pop-up box has started to constantly pop
up on my screen looking for an installation disk. I can click cancel a few
times and it stops for a bit but then it continues to come back. I haven't
made any system or setting changes on my computer.

I'm getting pretty tired of this Windows box constantly popping up and
disrupting my work. Does anybody have any solutions to disable this?

I am also having the same problem. I started last week when my son was tring
to view movies off the net.

Okay, people, this is my problem exactly, but the solution does not work for
me. I'm on Vista - is that the problem? I think I downloaded it (but where
did it go?? Can't find it anywhere --), and the rest of the instructions
don't apply. I certainly can go to Start, but I don't have "All Programs" -
I just have "Programs". And my "Windows" are all separate things - my list
says "Windows Calendar", Windows Media Player", etc.

Any suggestions for me? Thanks --

I have the same problem. Vista, the program shows up in Programs, but the
list tells me that if i delete it, it will only be deleting the shortcut.
Should I do that? Should i go to add-remove programs, and uninstall it? STILL
NEED HELP HERE! PLEASE, MS, GIVE US A FIX, WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO!?

I have Vista, it does have "All Programs" I followed the instructions per
above, it did Remove Solution Centre from the "Windows Install Clean-up" list
list with no problems. It remains to be seen whether the Solution Center
pop-up will re-occur, hope not.

I tired this four times, did not help at all, even as I reply to this, it
keeps happening, and also freezes what I an trying to do. This is really a
huge problem for me!!

Tried your solution, but it didn´t work. Instead I got this error message:

Error '-2147024882 (8007000e)' en tiempo de ejecución:
Error del sistema &H80004005 (-2147467259). Error no especificado

(Sorry, my xp is in spanish, but the code numbers are international!)

Do you have another idea?
