I need some information on upward and downward compatibility. I am using
Visual Studio 2008 Express. My partner is using Visual Studio 2005. Is
it possible to exchange Visual Basic projects between each other? Not
just once, but several times from 2005 to 2008, back to 2005 and so on.
I realize that the 2008 version uses some controls (like line and shape)
that are unknown in 2005. These controls will not be used.

Does anyone have any experience on this issue?

TIA,
Jos

You can set the compiler to compile to Net 2.0, with is VS 2005 compatible.
He doesn't have the option to set the deployment. You can choose 2.0, 3.0,
or 3.5
