What is the deal with the MSComm control in VB.net. Over half my VB6 applications were centered around this control and now it's gone??? What do I need to do to port my VB6 communications projects over to VB.net?

Hi

You are correct, it has gone. There is a control in the VB.NET Resource kit,
or if you prefer read this article.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/02/10/NETSerialComm/default.aspx

VB RK Download Link:

There is antother article I was also thinking of which targets VB.NET
direclty but I can't find it at the moment.

When I do I'll repost here.....

Hi,

If you want the least possible effort in porting your code, you can download
NETComm.ocx from my homepage. As other message mention, there are other
alternatives.
