Does anyone know of a PDF viewer component that allows a user to select a
range of data (text) and then be able to extract it?

I don't need to modify the PDF at all.

Hi Joe,

I found the 3-Heights PDF Extract Tool, which is a PDF extraction component
that can extract content (extract text, extract images) and retrieve
information out of a PDF document. It could be used via COM API to support
VB, .NET, and C applications:

Wish this helps!

Hi Gary,

I had looked at their component and couldn't find a way to view and select
data. I guess I'll have to spend a little more time playing with it.

Thanks,
Joe
