Moving VS.Net Solution Preferences

I recently moved a whole directory containing the
solution and projects files for a project to another
computer system. Everything went perfect except that I
can't figure out which file the IDE preferences such as
tab spacing, editor color coding, etc.. are stored. I
want preserve and move those settings too. Is there a
workspace file, etc...

I appreciate any ideas.

Hi,

The IDE settings are not stored in a file, but in system registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.0

You can export the corresponding subkeys from the original machine and import them to your current machine.

Note: Backing up the registry before importing is strongly recommended.
