Hope this is the right place for this question.
I have a 187 node cluster at the moment (all server 2003) up and running at
my company and we are using WMI for monitoring via Solarwinds.
the problem im having in is although all the nodes are set up the same 8 of
them give me DCOM errors.
Running the wbemtest from each node to another random node works fine,
however running the test from the Solarwinds server
all but 8 of them work, the only error is this:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10009
Date: 19.5.2008
Time: 11:20:47
User: N/A
Computer: SOLARWINDS
Description:
DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer *name* using any of the
configured protocols.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
After going though all the servers, I have confirmed that they are all set
up the same including all permissions (same account accesses all nodes)
No firewalls are running between these systems.
This is driving me nuts as I can find no reason for there 8 nodes to not
connect to this one server, everything else works fine!
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the problem here? somthing
stupid i've over looked?
Thanks
Valcora
