How to decode the PNPDeviceID property/field

Hello,
I'm a neophyte to the WMI stuff. I'd like to know how to interpret
the data being fed from the field PNPDeviceID. Here's an example:
PNPDeviceID = "IDE\
\DISKVIRTUAL_HD______________________________1.1.0___\
\5&35DC7040&0&0.0.0"
In this example, I'm especially interested what the data means that's
after the second pair of backslashes.
