Hi,

does anyone know the differences between
1) Windows Mobile 2003 Version 4.20.0 (Build 14133)
and
2) Windows Mobile 2003 Version 4.20.0 (Build 13349)?

A friend of mine tried to install the .net compact framework 2.0 on 1)
but it says, that his device is not compatible, while it works fine on
2).

thx
Andreas

Hi Ilya,

thanks for your fast reply. So possibly his Pocket PC doesn't have an
ARM processor? Could this be also the reason for having two different
Windows Mobile 2003 builds?

thx again
Andreas

No, it sure has ARM processor; all PPCs do since PPC 02. The relevant part
is here:

"In some rare cases WCELOAD might refuse to install NETCF V2 CAB file on
supported device due to issues with OS. For example, it's not possible to
install NETCF V2 CAB file on some early Pocket PC 2003 devices due to
following issue:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;824409

There's no workaround besides ROM upgrade. Check with your hardware
manufacturer to see if there is a ROM update available."
