Hi, I recently had to install IIS onto my machine.
With the webserver started (On the local machine) I went to view an ASP.net
application that I had previously written. When I go to view the app via my
browser I get prompted to download the default.aspx file.

It's like the server is not able to serve aspx files and so prompts the user
to download it.

It's probably a setting somewhere but I can't seem to find it

Cheers
Mark

if you have installed minimum IIS5.0 and .NET Framework, then configured a
website and deployed the app (global.asax, web.config, .aspx pages, etc it
should work if you browse to the website. There wasn't any specific setting
to "Turn on ASP.NET". Have you found any "how to" articles? For example,
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;818016

Hi all, I have resolved it by uninstalling the .net framework and then
reinstalling it. Damned if I know what the problem was but it's working now
Thanks for all your help

Cheers
