very little volume on cds burnt from my wave files

I am currently using WMP 11.05721.5268 and I do not get adequate volume when
burning my wave files. I have adequate volume if I transfer my files to
another computer that has WMP version 10. My question is: How can I tell if
the problem is with WMP 11 or the CD burner? (other than trying another
burner)
