The problem: Microsoft only offers an OLDER version for redistribution.
This is total bollocks. What's the big idea with this old animal?
This will break games and applications that do rely on the very latest DXSDK
functionality.
So are we going to expect a redist version in the next days or not?

Well the thing has resolved by itself.
In Related Links on the web installer page, there was a "Get LATEST
Directx", of which Microsoft did update the link meanwhile, but exactly _one
day later_ after I had looked for it.
Who can tell they did not read along here and discovered the mistake? :)
