Direct3D Acceleration Showing Not Available

I am getting this error when I try to run my game (Deadliest Catch...Alaskan
Storm):
~DirectX failed to initialize. Hit OK to terminate.

Here are the game requirements:

PC MINIMUM
Windows(R) 2000/XP/Vista
DirectX 9.0c (included on disc)
Pentium 4 2.0GHz or AMD equivalent
512 MB RAM (XP) or 2GB (Vista)
3.0 GB free hard drive space
DVD-ROM

DirectX(R) 9.0c compatible sound card
Keyboard, Mouse

Please advise why my Direct3D Acceleration is showing not available and what
I can do to get it running.

have u tried to backup all the files u need and then reboot the computer with
the reboot disk.. then thecomputer will set back to the original form with
all the programs that was om the computer when you bought it.
