I have a laptop OS Vista Home Premium, I had Digital Imaging Anniversary
edition on my Desktop which had windows XP. I love the program and last year
during the holdays my Desktop along with several of items were stolen from my
home. I want First to install the software to my now only computer I own.
Should I downgrade to XP (Which I plan on doing no matter what) OS then
install the software? Also all my software was stolen so I must replace the
software and I have looked into CD.Download.com I don't know if it's a
reputable web site or not though I can tell you I can afford $180.00 (ebay)
to replace my stolen CD's . I really LOVE this program and I want it back! I
just want to know if anyone has used this software with Vista and if so have
you run into any problems.

In your search for MS Digital Image...Amazon
may be worth a try also. Sorry but I have no
knowledge of a site called CD.Download.com.

No need to downgrade to XP...Microsoft Digital
Image Suite 2006 Anniversary Edition is optimized
for Vista. And if you purchase one of the other 2006
versions...there is a Vista Compatibility patch you
can download from the following link:

MS Digital Image 2006
*Vista Compatibility* Update
http://tinyurl.com/w5u58
or...
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ef930fe7-8dfd-4a5c-9bef-084cfa691104&DisplayLang=en
(Not required for the Anniversary Edition)

Other versions are:

#1) "Microsoft Digital Image Standard 2006"

#2) "Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006"

#3) "Microsoft Digital Image Suite Plus"
(same program but includes a copy of
Pinnacle Studio Ver: 10)

In the meantime...until you find a copy of
Digital Image Suite 2006...there is a trial
version you can download and run for 60 days.

Microsoft Digital Image
Starter Edition 2006
http://tinyurl.com/28loxr
or...
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7C3B3DED-A15F-48C5-B724-7796FE8C151E&displaylang=en

Unlike the retail version...the trial does not
have the ability to create VCDs and it does
not include the clipart and pre-formatted
projects.

Hi John,

Will the link below work for Digital Image Pro 9 ???
I installed it a few months ago on my new Dell running Vista (Not sure but I
think its 64) I have been using the program with no problems (just working
on photo's) until I clicked on "create a project' the all these run time
errors appear --- any ideas?

Thanks so much,
Beverlee

As far as I know DIP 9 will not work with Vista. DIS 2006 plus a patch will
work and the Anniversay edition is already Vista compliant.

Hey Beverlee,

Long time no see :o)

If you are asking if the Vista Compatibility
Update will work for DIP9...the answer is no.
Maybe you could get a copy of the 2006
Anniversary edition from Amazon or eBay.

My experience has been that the 2006 versions
are the only ones that will run reliably on Vista.

If you post your errors we may be able to assist
you but it is doubtful.
