No, but you will get warnings during devnode creation (unless the user will say explicitly "I want to trust the software from this company").

Thanks for your reply.
We need to support the driver for both XP & Vista. In this case, i heard
that, storport support is not there in XP. For my case, I should support
scsiport minport driver for both XP & Vista(Hope this works)?.

Could you plz let me know?

Yes. For instance, that's why the guest-side virtual SCSI of Hyper-V is not here on XP, since storvsc.sys is a storport-based miniport.

Yes. In such a condition, I would probably keep clear of storport till XP will die, though, you should review the MS's logo policy too if you need it.
