driver can not get serial pointer with IoGetDeviceObjectPointer()

I develop a pnp style driver for a non pnp device on win2000,it is good.but
on win XP,
I can install the driver,however,after system
restarting,IoGetDeviceObjectPointer() does not return STATUS_SUCCESS,but a
minus value,such as -1073741810,-1073741637,what is the problem??There is no
such problem on Win2000,
by the way,the driver is complied with win2000+2000ddk+Ds2.6,
I tried winxp+xpddk+ds2.6(or higher version),but can not compile,the error
message "Complier version not supported",
what is the problem??

Although I have no concrete suggestion,I think the driver complied with
win2000+2000ddk+Ds2.6, certainly won't work in windows XP. Try to revise and
compile it with winxp+xpddk+ds2.6.

instead of decimal values, convert these to hex (in kd or windbg that would
be ".enable_long_status 1" w/out the quotes on the cmd prompt). You can
then look them up in ntstatus.h or use !error from the same cmd prompt).
In general, when posting NTSTATUS values, post the hex version of it.

I have got the return value,it is STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE,may be because some
other driver needs loading before my own driver,if so,which driver is it?
and how to make it load earlier?
