I am installing NDIS Intermidiate filter driver on the system.
A driver uses 2 INF files with its respective *.CAT.
Driver installer copies INF files into windows\inf\ directory with
different name.
I have some doubt about *.CAT files?
Where CAT files are copied during installation?
Do i need to uninstalled it?
Regards,
Swapnil
The CAT files will be copied to
"C:\Windows\winsxs\Catalogs"
You dont have to Uninstall them.
Only files you have uninstall everytime you update your drivers are Sys files and Inf Files.
You have Delete the Sys and inf files related to your Device Under Test.
