I installed the DDK 3790.1830 under my Win2K OS, but now I changed to WinXP SP3.
The DDK directory was E:\Winddk\3790.1830
I know the commandline to open the help document is
%systemroot%\hh.exe E:\Winddk\3790.1830\help\winddk.col
Although this is the right way, the hh.exe won't work.
It seemed the hh.exe also need some infomation called "collection data" that located in the file "%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\HTML Help\hh.dat" besides the collection file - "winddk.col"
So I googled the web, just to found one useful article:
http://www.wd-3.com/archive/HelpCollections.htm
It said the .col file shoul be re-registered. And it said the way is to use an undocumented function in hhcol.dll
While I can't find this file in my whole disk.
Could someone help me???
Does someone know how to solve the problem, or where to find a "hhcol.dll"???
I just dont want to re-install the DDK for somereason.
Thanks.
Here is a page where informations of hh.exe can be found:
