I would like to use some clip art files within an academic course. This
course is an online course offered through a secure Learning Management
System. This course is for a University where students must pay tuition and
pay fees for the number of credit taken.

As the course designer, I do have a license to Microsoft Office through my
place of work. The University instructor also has a licensed copy of
Microsoft Office. I can not readily say whether or not all of the students
would have licenses.

Is it acceptable to include clip art in the online course I have described?

See the EULA

If you have a valid license to Office, you can use the clips:

Personal items
Business items, under the following restrictions:

1. The clip should not be used as a part of your logo.
2. If you are selling an item which depicts the clip, the clip cannot be
the primary value of the item ( you cannot sell a clipart collection or sell
a book of just clipart, etc)

I have read the EULA - it does not mention educational uses. Can you please
tell me if it is acceptable to use clip art in an online course, contained in
a secure Learning Management System, for a university that charges its
students for credits (see more details in previous post)?

You should be OK to use the clips on educational materials.....If the
students will be using Office on the university's computers then that
license would cover the use of clipart by students in the course....
