I know this error happened numerous times in the past for Office. Many times it
was because of mismatched MDAC components. You might download the checker.

I'm not sure registering the OLE32.dll will help, but it won't hurt:

I tried registering the OLE32.DLL, but I got this alert:
'The module "ole32.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed
with error code 0x800700005. For more information about this problem, search
online using the error code as a search term.'
There were no matches for this error code on the Microsoft Help and Support
site.
In a 'FAQ About Windows DAC/MDAC' (at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms692877(VS.85).aspx) is the
following information:
'Windows Data Access Components (Windows DAC) 6.0 is the version of the data
access technologies—ADO, OLE DB, and ODBC—included in the Windows Vista
operating system. Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) includes earlier
versions of the same technologies, and version 2.8 was included in Windows XP
and Windows Server 2003. There is also a redistributable version, MDAC 2.8
SP1, which should only be used with Windows 2000. Windows DAC includes some
changes to work with Windows Vista, but is almost entirely functionally
equivalent to MDAC 2.8.'
Just in case, I downloaded and ran the component checker, which indicated
the version number of most files was 6.0._____ - I gather this is the Windows
DAC numbering for Vista, which is presumably more up-to-date than the latest
MDAC version 2.8 released in 2005.
This is Vista specific

I have Googled the error code and haven't found any useful info.
Just in case it matters, I'm using Vista Home Premium.
