If anyone hasn't seen the cards for the contest that the
Publisher MS-MVP's put on, they ought to look at the one
of Brian hacking Santa's computer near the bottom!
http://www.davidbartosik.com/contest6.htm
Mary Sauer did that one so I have read!

I admire your talent and creativity but am wondering what
tools you used to create the card. Did you use a tablet
and stylus?

Happy Holidays to you and all the MS-MVP's!

Hi Susan,
I have no talent, the art work is clip art. I subscribe to www.toon-a-day.com ,
everyday there is a fresh new toon in my mailbox. I put it altogether in Publisher
since that was part of the rules.
Thanks for looking and you have a great holiday season too.

Thanks! Hey, it is still creative to put it together!
I have read your information about vectors and bitmaps. Is
that clip art vector? If one wanted to play around with
trying to draw art what would they need? Is there anything
decent one could buy on a shoestring budget?

In addition to Paul's suggestions, you can try eBay for older versions of Corel,
Illustrator and other draw programs. So far I haven't had any problems running Corel
10 on this XP system, I would love to have Corel 11 but it is too pricey right now.
Laser the dog blew out his knee, my software money has been shifted to vet care.

We're up to 11? Time flies. It seems like just yesterday I used an
entire roll of paper towels mopping up my drool over the multi-page
features of v4. (What a help that was!) FYI, I'm running CorelDRAW9 on
my WinXP-home system with no problems. That seems to be running about
$40-$50 on Ebay.

P.S. to Mary... How's the pooch doing now?
