Hi,

I am having an issue capturing images using Windows Deployment
Services.

I have installed WDS (Mixed Mode) and set up the WinPE 2 Boot /
Capture images. I can succssfully boot into WinPE 2 and run
wdscapture.exe but when it asks me to select a volume to capture I get
no choices in the drop down menu.

The machine has been sysprep'd.

I initially though this was a problem with the SATA drives in our
newer Dell Optiplex 320 machines but have tried it on an older
Optiplex GX60 with an IDE drive and still no luck.

I still think it may be a driver issue but am unsure, maybe it's
something else i'm missing.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help

The WDS Capture utility checks registry values in the offline image to
determine whether or not the image has been sysprepped. It checks if
the HKLM\System\Setup\CloneTag exists and if
HKLM\System\Setup\SystemSetupInProgress is set to 1.

If either of the registry keys are not set correctly, there are two
likely causes: The Generalize switch (or check box) was not selected
when Sysprep was run or after Sysprep completed, the system was
specialized before the WDSCapture utility was launched
