HI,

I'm trying to build a master image but I'm having some trouble applying the
image.
I created a reference computer and installed all my app's. Then I've
captured the image using imageX with the following switches: imagex /capture
c: \\server\image.wim "image_name" /verify
Now I realized that I need to make some changes to the reference image (some
problems in remote control agent of SCCM) and I'm trying to apply the image
on a VM. What I'm doing is:

1.disk part
sel disk 0
clean
create part pri
assign letter=c:
format fs=ntfs quick
active
exit

2.Apply the image using imagex: imagex /apply \\server\image.wim 1 c:
When I'm booting up the system I always get this error: "the boot selection
failed because a required device is inaccessible". Shouldn't imagex be
Hardware independent? I do not understand why are these errors all about.
booting again to winpe and doing these commands:

bcdedit /set {bootmgr} device partiton=c:
bcdedit /set {default} device partiton=c:
bcdedit /set {default} osdevice partiton=c:

Solve the booting issue but when entering into windows I get a blue screen.

I'm using this Microsoft TechNet article as a reference:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd744531(WS.10).aspx

Anyone with the same problem and a solution?
Many thanks

Hello

I have the same issue, the only way round it (not ideal) is to then run the
repair utility from the original disc.

The machine then boots as normal. This seems to be a big problem with 7 and
I can't find the answer anywhere

HI,

Run sysprep before capture!
