Probleme mit IOMEGA DITTO 800 Tape-Streamer am Parallel-Port

Hilfe!!
Wer kann mir Tips geben, wie man als NT-Neuling einen IOMEGA DITTO
800-Tapestreamer
(Parallel) unter Windows NT benutzen kann?

Treiber wurde installiert und angeblich auch gestartet. Greife ich jedoch
z.B. mit IOMEGA-Software oder
auch mit NOVABACK auf das Laufwerk zu, wird vonNT gemeldet, daß der Treiber
zwar gestartet ist, auf
das Laufwerk jedoch nicht zugegriffen werden kann. Keine weiteren
Informationen!!

ich habe einen "iomega ditto 800 paralell streamer" und einen "quic
streamer" und "novaback" installiert und kann dir bei konkretisierung
evtl. helfen .

Ditto Driver Installation Steps
Windows NT 4.0

1. Double-click on the My Computer icon.
2. Double-click on the Control Panel icon.
3. Double-click on the Tape Devices icon (not the Devices icon).
4. Select the Drivers tab and click Add.
5. Insert the floppy disk into the A: drive and click on the Have Disk
button.
6. Enter A:\internal if you are installing an internal drive;
enter A:\parallel if you are installing a parallel port drive.
7. Click OK.
8. Choose the type of tape drive to be installed.
9. Click OK.
10. Click Install.
11. A prompt for the install path may appear again.
Verify the path is A:\internal or A:\parallel and click Continue.
12. After the files are copied, close the windows that were opened
the installation process and restart the computer.

Ditto Dash Accelerator Card Installation Steps

1. Before you install the Ditto Dash Accelerator Card open Notepad and
create
a file with three lines following the form:

I/O
DMA
IRQ

For example, at factory settings of I/O=3F0, DMA=3, IRQ=6
the three lines are:

2. Save the file with the file name "Ditto.dat" and put it in the NT system
drivers folder (for example, System32\Drivers\).

3. Install the Ditto Dash accelerator card in your machine as indicated in
the Ditto Dash Installation Guide.

Hallo Walter,
ich hatte mit dem Ditto 2000 ähnliche Probleme, die sich durch folgende
Änderung lösten: Im BIOS I/O Setup den Wert für parallel port von 5 auf 7
ändern, sowie Mode auf ECP/EPP stellen. Ich hoffe es hilft.
