From a newsgroup post: "I was having this exact same problem and here
is what resolved this issue for me:
1. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<sql startup account>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-21...... (where "sql startup account" should
be the name of your startup account for sql server)
2. Backup and then delete any files in the S-1-5-21etcetc folder (but
do not delete the folder)
3. Restart SQL Server".

The "Windows Internal Database" is running as NT AUTHORITY
\NetworkService and there's no Folder in "Documents and Settings" for
this profile.. Help?!

mhhh laeuft denn etwas nicht? Mal den Account aendern?? Und mal die DCOM
rechte checken.

Hm. Serh merkwürdig, aber umso erfreulicher.. Der Fehler tritt
nichtmehr auf.. Dafür umso öfter der 2424 der WSS3 Search..

kannst du ein paar Angaben zu deinem System machen? Welche Sharepoint
Version, Patchlevel usw.
Vielleicht hilft das weiter.. (SPS2003 bezogen)
being unable to crawl mysites could mean that the crawler account does not
have default reader access to the mysite web application. You can check this
my looking at the mysites settings (default readers) in the SSP
configuration.
being unable to locate people can be caused by at least two problems
1. You have disabled web services (SOAP) on the SSP web application. Check
Web App Permissions list and look for the WebDAV and SOAP permission
entry.It has to be ticked or else access to the sitedata.asmx web service
will fail and the people scope will remain emptry. Check the IIS logs for
access denied to sitedata.asmx using the POST verb.
2. If the url for the ssp web app and the url for the mysites web app is not
listed in the content sources it wont crawl at all. Seeing as you are
getting access denied I guess the urls are listed but make sure they are
listed with both http:// and sps3:// protocols

Habe jetzt erstmal das Suchfenster deaktiviert, bevor noch jmd auf
dumme Ideen kommt..
