I must first admit I know next to nothing about FoxPro.
I have quite a simple program which needs updating to Y2K status.
I have looked through the app and understand pretty well how it hangs
together.
It was developed in FoxPro 3.
I'm using MS FoxPro 6.
As far as I can see I have three file types
(well with regard to code files)
These are FoxPro source files, compiled FP source files and .fox files.
The files I need to modify seem to be the .fox files.
I'm thinking the easiest way to update this program is if I can find an
editor to modify the .fox files.I've tried opening them with text
editors but to no avail.
Does such a tool exist, or is there a way that I can regenerate the .fox
files.
I've tried re-compiling the FP source files, but this just gives me a
compiled FP source file.
(I don't have a copy of FoxPro 3)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before you buy.
I'm sorry, but you asked in the German speaking FoxPro Newsgroup. (The ".de"
stands for "Deutschland"). Please send your message again in one of the
english speaking groups.
BTW, I don't think that you have an application developed in VFP3. If you
see *.FOX files, then this is a verrry old system, probably written in
FoxBase back in 1989 -1990. *.FOX are the compiled *.PRG files of FoxBase.
Later on, starting with FoxPro in 1991, the compiled files are named FXP.
Besides the fact, that FoxBASE was a DOS based system, and the output was
targeted to a character based screen, the core commands and functions should
stil work under VFP. But you can not build a DOS EXE with it.
