Hmm.. In DPM2006, on the "Modify Protection Options" screen, there was an
option to start protection jobs XX number of minutes after the hour. In
DPM2007, I don't see this option. I see a "Synchronization start time"
option on the Optimize Performance screen, but it is greyed out as I only do
syncs just prior to creating a recovery point.

I'd really like to have this back so that I can have protection groups
offset their start times by a few minutes rather than having to have them
all start at the top of an hour. Please?

We have just replaced the DPM2006 functionality with this "Synchronization
start time" option in DPM 2007.

This option will be enabled only when you have regular synchronization jobs
scheduled. It will be disabled when you choose to do syncs just before
recovery point. If you choose to do syncs just before recovery point, sync
time is decided by recovery point time. So, this option is disabled.

You can choose to
- change your recovery point schedule which will automatically offset
your syncs
- change PG setting to do regular syncs instead of syncs before recovery
points

I'd really like the offset functionality back please. It made it much
easier to stagger start times by a few minutes rather than only being able
to do so every 30 as it is now.
