This protected server has been working fine for several monts. The dpm
server backs up dozens of other protected servers. It is now displaying the
following error. The DPMRA service is started. I stopped and restarted it
on the protected server. I thought perhaps the Allocated "Replica Volume"
was insufficient 34.53 GB allocated and 30.48GB used. This is less than 90%,
but I increased it to 40GB allocated anyway. Need help please...

The full error is:

Please verify if the DPMCOMTrustedMachinesGroup and
DPMDMTrustedMachinesGroup on the agent side has the dpmservername.

You can also try running SetDPMServer again on the protected server.

Refer to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb870934.aspx

Kapil,
I tried the SetDPMservername again today, i'll see what happens tomorrow.

The DPM server has 33 protection groups currently, is that too many?

33 protection groups shouldnt matter in this issue but the number is
definitely much higher than regular customers. Do you have a need for so
many different protection policies?

Kapil,
I am only responsible for three of them. Our company is world wide and this
is from the private network for North American sites.
I have a local DPM for my site.
