Cannot install DPM agent (3.0.7558.0) on Windows Server 2003

Hi,

I am trying to install DPM agent on a Windows Server 2003 using the DPM 2010
Administrator Console but end up with this error message:

"Unable to connect to the Active Directory Domain Services database.
Make sure that the DPM server is a member of a domain and that a domain
controller is running.
Also verify that there is network connectivity between the DPM server and
the domain controller.
ID: 7
Details: The server is not operational (0x8007203A)"

I have also tryed
1) removing DPM Agent from server to be protected
2) installing DPM Agent directly on server to be protected
3) running setdpmserver on server to be protected
4) using DPM 2010 Adm Console to 'attach agents'

Result: Same error message pops up.

I have also worked thru the checklist at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb809107.aspx and found everything
to be OK.

Can anyone help - please.

NB. Installing agents on 2 other servers (Server 2008) in domain y worked OK.

Environment:
------------
DPM server:
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, x64
- DPM 2010 RC
- member of domain x

Server to be protected:
- Windows server 2003 SP 2
- DC for domain y

Trusts of type Forest/transitive is defined and validated between domain x
and y

Followed the instructions in
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb870935.aspx - result: Success.

But I get the same error message as before when I try to attach the
agent/server using DPM Adm Console.
