Hi all...

Can any one help with this one?
When highlighting an ADO keyword in Access97, it displays an error "Cannot
locate ADO270.CHM"......
I need a copy of ADO270.CHM (It's a help file)
I already have a copy of ADO270.HXI and ADO270.HXS.
I know it has been asked before, and there have been replies stating that
it's part of the SDK or I can get it from Microsoft, but after exhaustive
searching I have found nothing.
Can anyone e-mail me this file or point me to a location where I can
download it?
I have ADO210.CHM and have tried renaming it to ADO270.CHM and pointing to
it (via registry) but it just displays that it is an invalid help file
(although I can open it directly), so if there is another way around the
problem using ADO210.CHM I'm willing to try!

Regards
Richard Lindsay

I know what you want but I cannot see it.
You want the MDAC 2.7 SDK

I can see the MDAC 2.8 SDK and MDAC 2.6 SDK if you look here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/mdac/downloads/default.aspx
and click on "Other MDAC Downloads"

Perhaps it might be bundled with other marked 2.7 downloads

Sorry

Thanks for the reply Stephen,
I've already downloaded 2.8 SDK but the file included is ADO280.CHM and has
the same effect as ADO210.CHM when used.
MS don't seem to have 2.7 SDK available any more and the service packs for
2.7 don't include it....."Catch 22" !

I am running WinXP Pro and creating an application that uses ADO 2.8.
Unfortunately, my computer does not have the compiled help file (ado280.chm)
installed. Additionally, when I try to install MDAC 2.8SP1, I get a message
saying that the install is not compatible with my version of Windows because
all the functionality is already built-in to my version of Windows. Well,
that is not true because I do not have the help file.

So, where can I get the help file that I need (ado280.chm)?

Anybody?

Regards, Ken

You mean to say that the help file is not present in the MDAC 2.8 SDK I
mention below and provided URL link???

My mistake. I was only looking at the MDAC_TYP.exe for 2.8 and 2.8SP1 - not
the SDK.

Thank you very much for the help.
