Installing CRM 3.0 and SQL 2005 on dif. server in SBS 2003 domain

Hi,

I have installed crm 3.0 on a member server which is joined to SBS 2003
domain.

SQL 2005 is already installed on this member server(full also with RS).

All is ok except that while setup is running it came an dialog which tell it
can't publish ... In Log-file i see the folowing:

If i click on this dialog to ignore it the setup finished its job and it
seems all thing are already well installed, but if i access crm-site
(http://crm:5555) it shows me an authentication error.

Any idea how can i install crm 3.0 without this error?

My name is Mike and I will assist with your CRM question. Thanks a lot for
the post. I do apologize for the delayed response.

To begin, I noticed that you have another post that is similar. Are they
the same post? If so I will close one out.

The Error states that the user is not enabled or they don't have a license.

Are you trying to log in to CRM with the same user who installed CRM?
If you open IIS Manager (Start - Run - inetmgr), then right click on the
CRM website, now select browse, does it give you the same error?

thanks for your answer. Unfortunately i didn't see your post bevor. Now i
solved that problem as i install crm on SBS and not on member server. IT
seems that CRM has a Problem with member server in SBS-Environement.

Hi Pit,

I must have misread the original post as I can see that this is a separate
issue. My apologies on that. If you are using Dynamics CRM 3.0 SBE then
CRM must be installed all on one box using Small Business Server Premium
Edition. Even though there is a prompt stating that CRM can be installed
on a member server, it cannot. The prompt is incorrect for CRM SBE.

If you are installing CRM Professional, then what is the error you are
getting?

Hi Mike,

thanks for your post.

I have first try to install crm 3.0 Prof on Member server. I get this error:
"Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Server.CreateBulkOperationProcessAction. --->
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007203A): Der Server ist
nicht funktionstüchtig."

We (I+MS) couldn't resolve that error, so we decide to install crm sbe on
sbs. This is now, after some litle problem, working.
