Attaching photo to windows mail

When I attach photos to windows mail and try to send them, I get an error
message stating: "the settings require that this email be broken up into
many emails in order to send it and the server starts to send many email
numbered from 1 to 53 etc)
This problem just started by taking pictures from Windows Photo Gallery and
attaching them to message
How to I change the settings to eliminate this problem
