When I go to update windows the download will not d/l. It just sits there at
0 of ?????k After a short time it defaults back and says updates not
installed. and gives me error code (-2147012889) . I even used the start
over cd that came with my Compaq. Can you help?
I have :
Compaq 1.1 ghz
Windows ME
Linksys Router, networking is working normal-I have reset it 2 times just in
case. Still no d/l.

Microsoft are currently having problems with the WindowsUpdate site. May I
suggest leaving it for now, give them a chance to fix the problem when they
return to work tomorrow and then try again tomorrow evening.
