Add a property "Registration allowed" to Comemrce Server

Hi,

I want to have a property in my CS 2007 that is a boolean one. It says
whether users may register themselves on the login page or not. Depending on
that I'll show a register button. I use a webshop based on the StarterSite
package, but I have taken over the development only recently so I can't
really tell what has been changed compared to the original StarterSite.
I was wonderign about adding a property to the MSCS_Admin db, but I couldn't
find any hints on the net how to do that and whether it is a good idea to do
so ;)

The property shall be a site property and persistent even when resetting the
machine.

Can any of you help me?
