Hi all,

I'm having a few problems with Bizdesk and the commerce server (2002) data
warehouse configurator.

It is a two machine setup, with one IIS/Commerce Server box and one SQL
Server 2000/Analysis Services box. The site itself has been up and running
for some time now but we've only got round to getting up the data warehouse
component for the reports now.

When I go into the Data Warehouse Configurator, and click the Configure
button for the Analysis Server, i get the error: 'Failed to get clsid of
%s.MSOLAP'. The pre-filled value for this is the IIS box and this error
prevents me from pointing it to the SQL box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael Adamson.

As a follow up to the below post..

I installed the Analysis Server Client services on the IIS/commerce server
box. This has stopped the error appearing when I try to configure the
analysis server in the configurator dialog. I can now set the options in the
configurator so that the Analysis Server is the SQL server, and the database
server is also the SQL server (with the Datawarehouse database being
selected).
The Reporting Server box and configure button are greyed out, and selected
as being the IIS/commerce server.

When I click next, the 'configuring business analytics' message displays,
and the configurator seems to complete successfully (the log file contains no
errors).

When I click the finish button, I receive a message saying 'Failed to
retrieve the DTS task information'. This then leads on to the Data Warehouse
Import Wizard, where all of the types of data are greyed out and unselectable.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Michael Adamson.

Hi M Ichael,

I posted the same problem in the Alan Faulker Blog
(http://blogs.msdn.com/akfaulkner/archive/2006/11/03/dw-a-class-creation-script-from-webcast.aspx).

You can read the same post on the NewsGroup
microsoft.public.commerceserver.analysis.

I'm looking for an workaround right now...
