pop3 and smtp

I am trying to add my hotmail account to foxmail but it asks me about
POP and SMTP. Does anyone know them?
Also do I need to logon using (SPA) Secure Password Authentication?

No POP, no SMTP
It is HTTP mail

In the My incoming mail server is a list, click POP3.
In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server box, type pop3.live.com
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type smtp.live.com
In the Incoming mail (POP3) box, type 995.
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box, type 25 or 587.
Under both Outgoing mail (SMTP) and Incoming mail (POP3), select the This
server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.


经测试window mail可以接受Hotmail邮件，但Foxmail下还有点问题。

Good experience! Thanks.
I read below hint and try in Window Mail. It works. in my OE and Window Mail, I can
have more six email address receive at once. I just afraid one day MS will stop is
mail server, then have to find new pop again.
