Hi All,

This isn't technically a MCMS questiong, more a MOSS WCM, but I'm
pretty much at a loss as to the best places to get this kind of
question answered without pestering MVPS and MS Employees direct.

If anyone can offer guidance I would appreciate it.

I have a WCM MOSS Site that will effectively have 50-60 Real Estate
properties. Each Property will have its own page, and there will be a
filterable summary page wich just shows certain attributes of the
properties (i.e bedrooms, price, summary etc).

In the past, using MCMS, I would have created a template for the
posting, and added each property as a posting using that template. I
would then create another posting to act as a channel rendering script
that summarised the relevant placeholder data that I needed by
itterating through the Postings collection.

Now, with MOSS, I'm concerned with the best way to achieve this. I am
leaning towards creating a custom List, and effectively doing the same
thing as with MCMS, itterating through the list and getting the
relevant columns on the summary page.

Is this the best/correct way to do this?

Anybody else have any other ideas?

Many Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

just looking at your description a custom list to hold the data and a web
part or field control to display it sounds like the best solution.

Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks very much Stefan - this is the route I am going to go. Bring
back MCMS that's what I say ;-)
