Hi,

I have a strange problem. A resource is deleted from resource gallery and
the page that linked it is removed, but the PDF-document is still found on
google and the link works eventhough the document does not exist anymore. it
is not a problem with caching as you will see below.

I repeated this on my own development environment. I added a pdf file to
resource gallery, then linked it to a page. Then I deleted the resource from
site manager and removed it from deleted items. Then I deleted the posting
with the link (not from site manager but from console).

I ran the Background processing jobs manually. The item is still found. I
stopped IIS, I restarted the AESecurityService and started IIS. The file was
deleted from the disk cache but accessing the resource with direct url still
gives me the document and stores it back into the disk cache.

How can I get rid of this document? This a problem for my customer as old
information is still found with google and we can't seem to find a way to get
rid of the document on the server.

CmsHttpContext.Current.Searches.GetByGuid("{"+GUID+"}")

returns null so it is like it didn't exist, but you can still access it.

Second try with a jpg file, only difference that now i deleted it from
resource manager not site manager and same thing, except now the search
actually finds it in: /Archive Folder/aaaaa.JPG

My own environment is SP1a but the customer enviroment is SP2 and there is
no difference.

Hi Sami,

only users with MCMS Administrator rights should be able to access this
file.
So regular users should not be able to access it.

Cheers,
Stefan
