well in tools>accounts>mail>hotmail>properties>mail>server
make sure this line is in the url box I played heck with this & I use the
same line for all three different accounts.
http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
& while your in that section ya might wanna look around to see if anything
else is amiss.

I'm using http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp and it works
fine.
