Outlook Express - Gmail Problem

Problem: When I send a message from Outlook Express the message remains in
the remains in the Outbox (even though it has been sent) and does not go to
the Sent Items Folder. It says some errors occurred while processing the
requested task, but list no errors under the errors tab. Under the Tasks
tab, it says Send message using pop.gmail.com with Warnings under the Status
tab. I used the POP settings and everything worked fine for years until the
last month. I tried reconfiguring for IMAP and back to POP according to the
Gmail recommended settings, but still have the same issue.



Current Configuration: Windows XP Pro - Service Pack 3 - Outlook Express 6

Outlook Express 6 settings: Outgoing SMTP - port 465, Incoming POP3 - port
995



I would be grateful for any suggestions.
