Hi,
having 3-4 years of experience in SQL Server 2005/2008, how much time is
needed to become Microsoft Certified Master on SQL Server?
Is it so a difficult certification?
Is there a list of MCM in the world?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Luigi,

The SQL MCM certification has the following pre-reqs:

- MCITP: Database Administrator
- MCITP: Database Developer
- 5 or more years hands-on experience with SQL Server - installing,
configuring and troubleshooting
- 1 or more years hands-on experience with SQL 2008 - installing,
configuring and troubleshooting
- A thorough understanding of SQL Server design and architecture
- A thorough understanding of SQL Server core components and dependencies
such as OLTP, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Performance Tuning
Optimization, Storage, Security, Manageability and Data Distribution
technologies
- Speak, understand and write in fluent English

It is a difficult certification to achieve (the most advanced certification
that Microsoft offers for SQL Server).

Here is the list of SQL MCMs in the world (those you opted-in to publish
there names - the following is a subset):

The following website is also a good resource if you are interested in
pursuing this:
