I there an Adapter wizard for 2006 out there somewhere?

I haven't seen a completed version out there. You've got the massive
whitepaper that explains how to (now) use the base classes available in order
to speed up adapter development (and improve consistency) ..

For a practical look at using those base classes, you also have the recent
MSDN article that showed how to build one ...
