I have a problem manually setting the Message reference number in UNH
segment (UNH1 node) in an outgoing edi message.
If I don't fill it out it is generated automatically by BizTalk 2006
R2's edi engine and it works fine.
However I would like to control this number myself, and therefore I
filled out the UNH1 node in the Edifact document. It gave me an error
"Transaction Set or Group Control Number Mismatch". So I try to map
the same number into the UNT2 Segment.
Now I get 2 errors:
Error: 1 (Miscellaneous error)
71: Transaction Set or Group Control Number Mismatch
Error: 2 (Miscellaneous error)
29: Invalid count specified at interchange, group or message level
Is it possible to manually set the UNH message reference number, or
must you leave it empty for the edi pipeline to automatically fill it
out?
Best Regards

or
You can set the "start value" manually, Right-click "Parties" and set
"Global EDI Properties", and then BTS increases the value on next message
(Check "Apply new id" and "Edit").

I think UNT1 is for keeping track of how many messages their is in a batch,
so if you change this incorrectly it will give you an error.
