We are looking for BAI schema definition for BizTalk as well. We
have
searched, and as far as I can tell it does not exist. It looks like
one
would have to be written from scratch.

Can some one tell me how much effort will it take to create an xsd
schema for the following flat file. Also is it better to use SSIS
rather then biztalk if we dont get accelator.

e.g.
03,0068283,USD,010,0,,Z,015,0,,Z/
could also be represented as:
03,0068283,USD,010/
88,0,,Z,015,0,,Z/
or:
03,0068283/
88,USD,010/
88,0,,Z,015,0,,Z/
etc.

The Wikipedia article on BAI provides some helpful details on the
format. It refers to the document

Hi Chirag,

Duration for schema generation will depend on complexity of the input file
and level/amount of validations you want to do. For example: a simple CSV
schema would take couple of hours to a days time to develop and unit testing.

Sample data you have provides looks simple CSV data and should not take much
time to implement. Couple of hrs to 1 day based on size and complexity.

I suggest you use BizTalk as it has the best schema generation and mapping
capabilities in market today. I have been through these evaluations and using
BTS. There are many many other benifits that you gain when you use BTS and
A4SWIFT. It all depends on what you are trying to acheive. I can provide more
inputs for your comparisons and benifits after I know your requirement.

What is SSIS?

Hope this helps...

Cheers,

Jay
